We’re halfway there! Or at least, most of you are. As for me I’m struggling to keep up. No, I’m not suffering from bloggers’ block. It’s just that life and power cuts are coming in the way of me blogging and commenting regularly!
As you’ve been plugging away at the Ultimate Blogging Challenge, have you also had a chance to write down what your blogging goals are in the long term? If you want to build a blog that gives value to your readers, you’ve got to know what your goals are.
Thinking about goals makes me recall this story:
A farmer had a dog who used to sit by the roadside waiting for vehicles to come around. As soon as one came he would run down the road, barking and trying to overtake it. One day a neighbor asked the farmer “Do you think your dog is ever going to catch a car?” The farmer replied, “That is not what bothers me. What bothers me is what he would do if he ever caught one.”
We could also be running around wildly trying to keep up with every blogging challenge, but not have clear goals about what we wish our blog to be.
Think about this, today as you continue the UBC. Remember, no blogging goals are too lofty or unattainable. Believe in yourself.
