I’m completely sold on gratitude. It is a practice that I write about often on Everyday Gyaan.
Today, being Thanksgiving Day, I decided to write about it here too. I started to think of all the things writers can be grateful for – here’s my list.
Gratitude And Writers
I do believe that writers like every one else have a lot to be thankful for. In fact, I’ll go so far as to say, we might have more to be thankful for than most.
Gratitude for Words
The magical stuff we string together to make meaning. Words are what fascinated us and drew us to express ourselves.
Gratitude for Books
This is where we fell in love with words. The many books that have enchanted us, set our imaginations afire, entertained and challenged us.
Gratitude for Writing
Our ability to put words together. Writing is what gives expression to our deepest feelings.
Gratitude for Writing Tools
Notebooks, pencils, computers, software – with such a variety of applications. We’re blessed to have so many writing tools to choose from.
Gratitude for Blogging Platforms and Social Media
Never before have any writers had such a wide audience to showcase their work on, as we do. Although we sometimes take this for granted, we can never be grateful enough for these.
Gratitude for the Writing and Blogging Community
Community is often what fuels our creativity and once again, we have so many to choose from.
Gratitude for life experiences
Good, bad and ugly – all of our life experiences give us a rich resource to write about.
The list just goes on and on.
What are you as a writer grateful for?

It’s the end of the week, you’re probably exhausted with work, and all you want to do is sit back, put your feet up, sip on some fancy cocktail or wine, and write away. Sanch of Living My Imperfect Life and Write Tribe give you writing prompts and all you have to do is choose any one of those prompts to blog about and link up between Friday and Monday. After you link up, be sure to spread the love by visiting other bloggers who have linked up too.
