The debate about what is the perfect blog post is always on.Questions like…
How long should the post be?
How many words?
At what frequency should I publish?
Am I writing too much?
Am I writing too little?
What is the right way to structure the post?
….are always relevant when you are blogging. Let’s tackle one question here today – how to structure a blog post for maximum impact. I am offering Copyblogger’s infographic here as a pretty good reference for the 11 ingredients every blog post needs. Here’s what they recommend – use it as your checklist.
- Craft a magnetic headline.
- Open with a bang.
- Use persuasive words.
- Write damn good sentences.
- Insert killer bullet points.
- Create exquisite subheads.
- Tell a seductive story.
- Keep attention with internal cliffhangers.
- Choose an arresting image.
- Close in style.
- Be authentic.
